This is a prayer that most likely will never be uttered in a church.

LORD, please deliver us from the general stupidity of the unwashed masses; for they revel in their ignorance, thus sullying thy Kingdom.

May they not go forth and be fruitful; for their progeny shall suffer the same intellectual deficit as their fathers, and their fathers before them.

May your blessed grace compel them, in your name, to read a book, preferably without illustration, and devoid of nonsensical items, such as celebrity hookups, or sport.

May thy divine knowledge of all things inspire them to understand our brothers and sisters from cultures that are unknown and unfamiliar; may they learn the ways of science, and reasoning, and to not have the expectation of their own culture being the ultimate default in all things.

O Gracious Heavenly Father, may all understand that every human interaction is not transactional.

Fuck it, I give up. The human race is doomed.
